We enter a home that reflects the external environment, where in the finishes we have taken up the colors and the natural materials of the surrounding orchards.

Wood, mosaic and large slabs for floors and bathrooms

We are in a new home in the Po Valley, immersed in greenery and surrounded by vineyards and orchards, in which the owners asked us to connect the interior design to the colors of the external environments.

We played a lot with textures and surfaces, thanks to the clients who enthusiastically shared ideas and projects: in the story of this house the passion for material elements, the search for natural themes and the combination of different formats will emerge.
You will perceive a thread of coherence that connects the sleeping area to the living area, carrying with it from one floor to another mosaic tiles, large decorated slabs and thermally treated wood.

Ready for the view? Let’s go in!

The floors of the living area

A welcome in mosaic

To welcome us at the entrance, a mosaic carpet under our feet creates a break between the exterior and the internal wooden flooring, a transition area that becomes an element of character that gives elegance and decorates this space of the home.

Forbidden to step on dreams

Parquet was the first choice for our clients, they wanted a warm floor that would welcome them already from the living area, in a dark color that would let veins and grains marked by honey tones and darker fillings that enhance the knots be seen.
This was the dream of the clients, but is it possible to achieve it? Also on the ground floor?

Wood on the ground floor? Yes, but... thermally treated!

A floor with very particular surface characteristics was needed, but not only at an aesthetic level! The suggestion is to use thermally treated wood, that is a wood that is heated at high temperatures during a controlled pyrolysis process that not only gives the wood a wonderful chocolate color but also brings modifications at a performance level, making the parquet more resistant and durable.
The greater resistance, given by the thermal treatment, occurs both against humidity and against scratching, foot traffic and parasite attack.
In short, dreams can become reality!

Coherence and continuity

The choice of the mosaic carpet at the entrance was intended not only for the protection of the wood - this type of parquet does not require particular precautions - but also and above all for an aesthetic and distinctive factor. As we will see, we will find the same textures and combinations also in the kitchen space, with the logic of continuity and coherence between materials, surfaces and furnishings that we so much seek in our homes. Let us then see how these small and precious tiles have enriched also the next environments that we are going to tell you about.

Wood and mosaic floors for the living area

Living area bathroom in green mosaic and large decorated slabs

Small tiles and large slabs

Opening a flush-to-wall door, finished with the same painting as the wall to make it almost disappear, we find ourselves inside a practical living area bathroom designed in shades of green, in which wood enters as flooring and meets, once again, small mosaic tiles but also the large format of decorated ceramic slabs as cladding.

Wood in the bathroom?

Many clients bring us their doubts about the opportunity of placing parquet as bathroom flooring. But, as we anticipated, this particular type of wood can also be used in environments with water sources since it does not fear humidity. We therefore chose continuity and decided to extend the natural flooring also inside the bathroom of the living area.

Essential furnishing

The wooden floor highlights and makes more valuable the furnishing composition that includes a suspended shelf in gres with a countertop washbasin, wall-mounted taps and a matte lacquered drawer unit in sage color. The drawer unit is sufficient to contain what is necessary in a bathroom dedicated to the living area, where the needs are lower compared to the bedroom bathroom. We therefore limited ourselves to essential bathroom furnishing.

Natural landscapes, tactile sensations and balance

For the wall dedicated to the shower and sanitary fixtures we combined large gres slabs that depict a woodland image. The intention, successfully achieved, was to give three-dimensionality and depth to the room but also to convey serenity and relaxation, as only a walk in the woods can do. To this image we matched a pistachio-colored mosaic used both on the floor and as cladding, which also completely covers the shower tray thanks to the meticulous work of our installers. In this case the intention was to give a pleasant tactile sensation when walking barefoot on the shower tray. The matte black details of the accessories and taps contribute to the harmonious balance of the bathroom, making it more refined and rich but without the excessive brightness of chrome finishes that would have been a discordant note in this environment.

Thermally treated wood parquet, the stairs and the sleeping area

The same wood also on the staircase

We return to talk about the beautiful wooden floor, the protagonist of the living area where it connects with the mosaic surface, but which also covers the tread and riser of the exposed wooden staircase that accompanies us to the sleeping area.

Horizontal and... vertical!

Going up the first two flights we find ourselves in the most intimate part of the house, where the bedrooms and their bathrooms are located, which is also where the parquet reaches its maximum expansion running along the wide corridors and entering all the rooms, including one of the bathrooms where the wood also climbs up developing vertically.

A room to play (barefoot) on wood

The last flight of stairs takes us to the attic, an area that they have currently dedicated to the children to give them a private room in which to play, discover and cultivate hobbies and passions. Strictly barefoot on the wood. A detail I would like to point out is the top view of the staircase, from where the entire structure can be seen and in the middle a portion of wooden flooring laid in the living area.

Master bathroom designed for wellness

An exclusive wellness center

We are in the master bathroom, an environment that had to be devoted to wellness, where one can enjoy a relaxing bath in the tub or a refreshing shower. A small personal spa, private, able to convey well-being and relaxation also through colors and materials.

In the first part, the bathroom...

We therefore divided the space into two portions, dedicating the first half, on one side, to a large cabinet with integrated washbasins, and on the other side to the sanitary fixtures with a background of a large matte black marble-effect slab.

...in the second, wellness

In the second half of this bathroom we placed the two water sources: on the left a niche shower was created, using for the cladding the marquinia marble-effect gres and combining it, also here, with mosaic tiles in shades of brown. Mosaic that covers the shower tray, but also the comfortable seat in the shower and the low wall that defines the shower space. On the right a space was created for the freestanding bathtub in white corian, surrounded by our thermally treated wood.

A complete, well-equipped bathroom that allows to meet the needs and requirements of those who live in it.

Colorful nature-themed bathroom for the kids

For the kids we designed a practically indestructible bathroom, very colorful, creating a room specifically designed for them.

Jungle-effect slabs in the shower

The theme of the natural landscape returns and also in this bathroom we find decorated gres in large slabs, this time with a tropical jungle effect to give the shower space an extra boost, a dynamic and youthful character. The back wall is more neutral, it is a concrete-effect gres that also covers the seat, a comfortable element to enjoy the power of water but also practical to place products, shampoo bottles and creams.

No arguments with the double washbasin

In the bathroom we find a cabinet with two washbasin stations to allow the kids to wash their hands or brush their teeth even at the same time if their schedules coincide, choosing countertop ceramic washbasins in two different colors but both recalling the bright colors of the large decorated slab. The sanitary fixtures were chosen in the wall-hung model and surrounded by concrete-effect gres in the 120x120 format, tile that floors the entire bathroom and that here also rises as cladding.

We almost always work with bespoke solutions and we offer you only high quality products, always choosing Made in Italy. Even if we try to avoid surprises for you, our services - consultation, assistance in the selection, design and rendering of the environments, site inspections, assistance during the works and in the after-sales - are included in the price of your quote.

Our strengths and, above all, our weaknesses

Letting us work on your home means creating an important relationship, we know that. You will surely have a thousand doubts, all legitimate. For this reason, before choosing us as a partner, you should especially know our weaknesses. And for this reason we have collected them in a page (well, we also included some strengths).
Some clients, dissatisfied with us, helped us, leaving rather severe reviews, while others were far too generous. Reading our weaknesses, in black and white, will warn you, for example, against expecting a "quick quote", since we are, unfortunately, slow.
