An important renovation that involved and excited us, in which every space has been customized following the needs and desires of the family that will live in this home.

Renovating a home: floors, bathrooms, kitchen and custom-made furnishings

The client came to our Showroom in Costo di Arzignano with clear ideas, he already knew us, had been following us for years on various social channels and was willing to entrust us with the entire renovation of the newly purchased home: a very interesting house, with a large open space, prepared for window frames with large glass surfaces and ready to make the clients’ desire come true, that of having spaces rich in contrasts, with accents of colors, wood and warmth. A beautiful challenge!

First of all, we focused on the restyling project: we studied the new layout of the kitchen, the dining room and the bathrooms. Especially in the living area we made major changes, removing walls and doors, a tough job that was carried out in collaboration with arch. Danieli.
In this area we also brought back the load-bearing columns, clad in large-format gres slabs to give even more depth and coherence to the environment, which were used as supports for a custom-made pass-through bookcase composed of a huge supporting monolith in walnut wood, matched with the floor, with two reading seats, and many shelves for books.

In the sleeping area we eliminated walls, created new spaces, and rethought everything. You will see how in the master bedroom we completely transformed the space, turning the old wall, which divided the bedroom from the bathroom, into a glass partition that connects the spaces, making them a single environment, larger and more striking.

Once the project for the modernization of the interiors was presented, the client gave us the go-ahead and we focused on choosing the finishes!

Open space: gres table and custom-made bookcase

Walnut parquet laid in herringbone pattern

For the choice of the wooden floor we wanted to create a sample specifically for this client, an Italian herringbone in natural varnished walnut, but with a larger size than the traditional one: 70 cm long and 13.5 cm wide, chosen because, in our opinion, more suitable for the large space in which we installed it.

The sample created fully won over the client, who chose this product for the entire open space, but also for furnishings and coverings of vertical walls that you will see in the next rooms of the house.

Kitchen in gres with black Cardoso effect

Once we had chosen the wooden floor, the protagonist of our restyling, we focused on the queen of the house, the kitchen!

In this environment created completely custom-made, the client (a lover of the mountains and nature) wanted a combination in “South Tyrol” style: the proposal of a very textured dark stone that would match well with the wood was a winning choice. It is a Cardoso stone effect, a large anthracite-colored gres slab with a flamed surface, truly beautiful when paired with wood. It was liked so much that it was chosen for a very original total look concept, where the material from the floor continues onto the kitchen doors, also continues on the front of the drawers, up to the top with integrated sink… a black cloud, very practical and precious!

We arranged 2 convivial spaces in this large living area: the first in the kitchen, with a table dedicated to everyday lunches and breakfasts, while the second is identified with the table in the center of the open space, for dinners with friends and relatives.
The first table is located inside the total black cloud, here we chose to create a custom-made piece in wood, using the same natural varnished walnut essence, the same element as the floor. The second table is placed on the wooden floor and it is a larger furnishing piece in marble-effect gres, majestic even without tablecloths but also practical: it does not absorb and does not stain!

Enhancing the bathroom in the living area

For the bathroom in the living area we chose to continue vertically with the same wood as the floor, creating an original wall that warms the environment and contrasts visibly with large glossy gres slabs with an amazonite effect that enhance and brighten the room. With this resistant and practical material our craftsmen created a washbasin, a cube with a sloped water drain, which was placed on a piece of furniture in walnut wood: a combination of materials that intersect.

The glossy light blue large-format surface inspired us to recreate a “box” effect, as if we were inside a starry sky, for this reason we chose to use a blue paint for the ceiling and to create the custom-made storage furniture with the same RAL color.

For the taps the clients chose the black diamond steel finish, elegant and precious, it gives a point of light to the whole.

Master suite, coverings and lighting

The master suite is the room that rewarded us the most in terms of design: as I mentioned in the introduction, we chose to eliminate the wall between the bathroom and the bedroom to transform it into a glass partition, a stylistic choice that gives brightness and makes it seem like a single large environment.

We also connected this large space through the materials, using large gres slabs with a chocolate-colored alabaster effect both in the bathroom, in the glossy version, and behind the bed wall in the matte version, a surface that here was enhanced by very refined and bright black pendant lights, matched with the lighting of the bathroom where the same finish was used.

In the bathroom we played with reflections and mirrored surfaces that make it appear larger, designing it custom-made to accommodate both an immense walk-in shower and a comfortable freestanding bathtub, two wellness spaces expressly requested by the clients.
The doors of the spacious suspended cabinet with integrated washbasins, the covering of the towel warmer and the large round backlit mirror all contribute to the result of this very scenographic mirrored effect.

Compared to how the bathroom was before, today it seems much more spacious!

Master bedroom and master bathroom

Bedroom designed for two little girls

For the girls’ bedroom we were asked for a custom-made project with a romantic and timeless feel, which is why we chose colors ranging from antique pink to light pink and the contrasting insertion of a black&white nature-themed wallpaper.

The design idea of placing this decorated covering inside two frames came to us to enhance the print, to create something original, something unique.

For the furnishing of the bedroom we had a custom-made matte pink lacquered piece of furniture created, which rises up to the ceiling to allow bags or suitcases to be stored in the upper space and which uses the corner of the wall to create a small internal walk-in closet. In this practical and storage area we inserted a mirror with a black iron frame that matches the open coat rack, installed above the chest of drawers, and designed for clothes to be hung quickly!

A feminine bathroom

In the bathroom dedicated to the two little girls of the house, the pink theme continues, a leading color that is carried through in continuity with that of the bedroom, an environment from which the common thread also continues with the black finishes that here we installed in contrast, to make the space more bold.
Lights, shower box, towel warmer, taps and the three-dimensional ribbed wooden cabinet fit into a precious background of large alabaster-effect gres slabs and a matte pink solid-color surface.

A notable detail, both to see and to create, was the ceiling covering: it too is clad in pink alabaster-effect gres, a detail not to be underestimated that makes the space larger and more fascinating.

Outdoor area in WPC and stone-effect gres

The entrance of this home already gives us a well-defined image of the interior style, after all the exterior is a bit the business card of our house.

We created a platform covered in dark wood-effect WPC highlighting it with a LED strip and bringing this resistant and practical material also onto the side wall, to enclose the patio and make guests feel welcomed.

A stylistic choice that expresses coherence can be seen right in this outdoor space: the Cardoso-effect gres that the clients liked so much for its wrinkled texture that perfectly recalls stone, in addition to involving the kitchen and the columns of the living area, has also been brought onto the large entrance wall where it completely covers the security door, making it appear as a single continuous surface.
