A new home to live in as a family but that also wanted to be a representative home for the couple’s guests, designed by customizing every environment.

New home in Rovigo: flooring, bathroom furnishings and furniture

Attention to detail

With this article you will enter with us into a home we became attached to after discovering the interests and passions of E. & A. and having brought them to life by studying and designing every detail without leaving anything to chance.
The finishes, lacquers and surfaces echo each other for consistency but without hindering the customization of each space, thus making the home welcoming, refined and unique.

Let’s enter the house!

We want to start this tour from the heart of the home, built on an architectural project by architect Nicola Pizzolato, and it is a large patio located right at the entrance that develops vertically involving the staircase:we played with two of the materials chosen by our clients, a large-slab piasentina-effect porcelain stoneware and a warm and knotted oak wood.

The porcelain stoneware accompanies us from the entrance path into the house, here it involves the first three steps fitting together with the wood, a natural material that climbs the entire staircase, floors a central portion (designed to place the large Christmas tree) and forms an under-stair bench.

Rovigo: custom-made furnishing for entrance and living area

The entrance of the home, although scenic, had to also be functional and practical for those who live in it.

The proposal was to furnish the short corridor at the entrance, on the right with a custom-made matte lacquered cabinet, with a RAL that recalled the color of piasentina stone, to hide shoes, bags and coats of our clients but also of their guests; on the left side instead we thought of a full-wall, full-length mirror that contrasts with the large cabinet with its lightness, which distinguishes this piece of furniture, completed by a refined shelf, useful for placing keys when returning home.

If on one side the staircase captures our attention, on the other side a minimal living area welcomes us in which we used again for the TV wall covering the wood and the stone-effect slabs alternating the two materials in a perfect combination. For this relaxation corner we also studied the lighting and a suspended storage element.

The sofa was chosen in fabric, in an olive green shade that integrates well with the natural materials of the surfaces.

Living area: table in porcelain stoneware, appliances and custom-made furnishings

The clients came to us with the kitchen already chosen and confirmed, even if with the appliances still to be chosen, but after we got to know each other better and found ourselves and understood each other immediately on all the finishes and furnishings of the home, they asked us to refine and furnish the kitchen area as well.

Piasentina stone plays an important role here too, where it was used to compose the porcelain stoneware top of the table covering both the visible upper part, but also the surface underneath in contact with the painted steel base. It is not a minor detail nor a common workmanship, but the couple was as enthusiastic about it as we were and we were thus able to create this masterpiece in porcelain stoneware.
Enhancing it and lighting it at its best, an artistic chandelier that tries to steal the scene.

In designing this area it was also planned to insert a floor-standing unit to increase the storage space of the pantry and a wooden shelf that warms the environment and that can serve as a holder for recipe books or simply as a decorative element to place ornaments and small plants on it.

Rovigo: tiles for the guest bathroom in the living area

The bathroom in the living area is the one designed to welcome, and amaze, guests but it also had to be practical, to allow everyday functions without particular precautions.

The clients, during our first visit to the showroom, immediately liked this large marble-effect blue slab that you see installed at the back of the shower, a position that makes it stand out to the maximum, and that we echoed for consistency also in the back of the two niches, created in the upper part of the freestanding washbasin.
All the matte ceramics of this precious bathroom pick up the tones of the slabs, but also the lacquers of the storage elements were not chosen randomly!

All the elements contribute to a coherent and elegant result.

Laundry room furnishing in Rovigo, custom-made

In the living area a laundry room: was also designed: spacious, functional and well organized.

We entered with a very variegated concrete-effect porcelain stoneware floor because, being a working environment, the recommendation was to install a resistant material, which was also used to create the countertop of the cabinet with integrated sink, a wide and deep basin that allows the insertion of buckets and basins.

The cabinet furnishings with doors are useful and practical to avoid leaving cleaning products and detergents in sight, but also to hide clothes to be washed, for which a top solution was designed: from the bathroom on the first floor a pipe descends that arrives exactly inside the laundry cabinet, where the dirty clothes will land in a special basket!

For the washing machine and the dryer we thought of a cabinet that would leave these two appliances visible for ease of use, and that was equipped with pull-out shelves in the lower area to allow the placement of laundry baskets.
A solution that makes things much easier!

Refined furnishing of the master bedroom in Rovigo

The master bedroom was studied in the smallest details, opting for lights and colors that would instill calm and facilitate rest.

By designing a false wall behind the bed, we were able to apply LED strips that give a soft lighting to the room, an effect of light also achieved with wall sconces with an upward light beam.
The predominant color is green, the shade par excellence that adapts to bedrooms and relaxation environments, used for the wall paints and for the lacquer of the beautiful sideboard, a design furnishing that we placed in front of a large round mirror to create a three-dimensional effect.

Wooden elements were also inserted, to recall the top of the sideboard, such as the suspended shelf on the wall at the foot of the bed and the small shelves of the left niche that were highlighted by a raw lime decoration, a wall finish that our craftsmen also created on the other side of the bed.

Rovigo: the couple’s walk-in closet

Architect Nicola prepared a long and narrow space between the master bedroom and the master bathroom, a perfect space for a walk-in closet!

For this “furnishing corridor” we thought of an entrance portal that would recall the raw lime finish of the bed headboard. A scenic entrance from which we access matte white wardrobes, well illuminated by upper LEDs that give a beautiful atmosphere for choosing clothes and accessories to go out, a stylistic choice also facilitated by a full-length mirror at the end.

All the modules were handcrafted custom-made to fit perfectly into this personalized space.

Master bathroom, a room for wellness

A truly ambitious project, born from the request to have a master bathroom that would be a wellness jewel and made possible thanks to the large dimensions of the room, but also by the courage of the clients who decided to dare with us.

We enter, turn left and find ourselves in front of a double station: two exactly identical bathroom units with integrated washbasins, mirrors with integrated lighting from above, and a wallpaper with a neutral background color and with barely hinted decorations that recall nature.
On the side wall the wallpaper covering continues and here it frames a very deep freestanding bathtub, with integrated hydromassage.

For the shower and sanitary area we designed a platform illuminated by an LED underneath that makes it seem suspended, a real stage covered from floor to ceiling in stone-effect porcelain stoneware in two different color shades. This wellness box was closed on the visible side with a smoked glass, a see-through not see-through also used to divide the sanitary fixtures from the shower, a partition that ends at this point with a comfortable seat to enjoy the jet of water coming down from above.

Rovigo: furnishing the home study

Our clients often work in smart working, so we were asked to set up a room in the house as a study in order to have a private space in which to work from home.

We proposed to create a custom-made wardrobe unit to contain everything needed, an excellent way to make use of the space and to archive documents and folders without leaving them in sight. It is a very large and deep furnishing element that we lightened with a light matte lacquer and side shelves in oak wood backlit by an LED.

Behind the desk workstation we opted for a much slimmer structure, a wall bookcase made with burnished steel tubular elements.

Bedroom for the child

In reality this space dedicated to our clients’ child cannot simply be called a bedroom, because it is a real mini apartment designed to give a private space to the child who in a few years, growing and becoming a young teenager, will require a bit more privacy.

Entering we find ourselves in a small living room furnished with a sofa and a soft pouf and we already realize how blue is the predominant color, we will in fact find it again in other furnishings and surfaces as a common thread. In this area we were also asked to insert a TV unit that we designed with two offset blocks in matte white lacquer, one more minimal that intersects with the other more containing, useful for hiding joysticks and games and that also serves as a comfortable bench.

Continuing towards the bedroom, we are immediately captivated by a particular wallpaper installed following a very precise design of ours: the print depicts a lighthouse, a coherent choice to recall the ultramarine blue theme, an architectural element of the maritime environment made the protagonist by the installation of a wall lamp that acts as the lantern of the lighthouse itself, actually illuminating the background of the bed headboard.
A play of perception and light that is truly successful!

For the wardrobe we designed a large furnishing with 4 doors that ends on the side with an open compartment equipped with small shelves, customized by the child with plush toys, toys and books; the same visible module was used to complete the wooden desk.

Also in this environment of the mini apartment we follow the common thread of ultramarine blue color, which here envelops the walls and the ceiling with a washable paint creating a real entrance portal, and which we also find in the porcelain stoneware used to cover the illuminated niches that, breaking through the wall, give three-dimensionality to the surfaces.

Rovigo: bathroom furnishings in the children’s bathroom

For the composition of the cabinet a real tailored work was done: the base that rests on the floor is composed of 5 storage doors in matte white lacquer and inside the first one the pipe that goes directly down to the laundry room is hidden, in the composition that we showed you a few paragraphs earlier, thus facilitating the movement and storage of dirty clothes (brilliant idea!).
The suspended element takes up the same lacquer and hosts a black iron-effect porcelain stoneware top with integrated washbasin, the same industrial-style material used for the wall coverings, for the shower tray and for the top of the base underneath which thus also serves as a bench to sit and change comfortably.

House in Rovigo: the outdoor flooring

In this residential project, the outdoor spaces were enhanced through a careful choice of materials that combine functionality and aesthetics.

Outdoor pedestrian flooring

The walkways and the entrance staircase were made with large porcelain stoneware slabs with a piasentina stone effect but in the bush-hammered version, laid flush with the garden to create a natural and harmonious connection between architecture and greenery. The light veining and the matte finish of the slabs give visual continuity and refinement to the path.

Outdoor flooring for the driveway area

In the driveway area, porphyry was instead used, a resistant natural stone and part of tradition, perfect for ensuring durability and practicality without giving up character. The result is a coherent and refined aesthetic, where every detail is designed to integrate with the modern style of the house and accompany the guest from the entrance.
