Natural floors and custom-made furnishings
Imagine entering a space where modern meets rustic in a harmonious embrace.
Today we will take you with us into this home where we are welcomed by a large open space characterized by a high ceiling, adorned with exposed wooden beams that infuse warmth and character, which we furnished by creating a cozy dining area and a modern kitchen in rustic style, thus creating a lived-in and welcoming atmosphere.
This is the home of an art collector, and our challenge was precisely to choose flooring and furnishings that would not take away importance from these unique pieces but would also not pale in comparison to them.
The combination of modern furniture and rustic architectural elements creates an environment that is both sophisticated and welcoming.
This space is not only an example of successful design, but also a place where comfort and style coexist in perfect harmony, and the credit is not only ours: a great contribution to the success of these spaces is in fact due to the architect Tosetto Ennio, who took care of the structure of these environments, collaborating with us on the finishes and the arrangement of the elements.
Custom dark kitchen: wood, porcelain stoneware and glass
At the center of the scene, an island clad in walnut wood with a large worktop in black metal-effect porcelain stoneware with a variegated finish immediately catches the eye, acting as the focal point of the space, which is made even more striking by the lighting: pendant lights that illuminate the workspace and create a functional and welcoming atmosphere.
The central monolith has been completed with porcelain stoneware sides joined at 45 degrees and equipped with an integrated sink in the same material, an induction hob with integrated hood to keep the overhead space free, and a stainless steel mixer tap fitted with a practical pull-out spray.
The full-height wooden columns, which open laterally with glass doors and matte black profiles, integrate perfectly with the central island, providing ample storage space and the possibility to display decorative objects illuminated by internal LED strips, thus adding a personal touch to the design.
The built-in appliances within the central structure, positioned at a height designed to meet ergonomic needs, blend harmoniously into the context, maintaining a clean and linear aesthetic.
The Venetian terrazzo floor, with its colored fragments, adds texture and visual interest without overloading the space, perfectly completing the whole.
This environment is not only an example of successful design, but also a place where functionality and style coexist in perfect harmony, a true paradise for lovers of contemporary design who appreciate the beauty of natural materials
Dark wood table
Moving towards the convivial area dedicated to family lunches or dinners with friends, a large rectangular wooden table with rounded corners and an intricate matte black base immediately catches the eye, characterized by angular geometric shapes that create a fascinating contrast with the smooth and warm surface of the top.
This furnishing element, with its warm tone that echoes the finish of the kitchen, is surrounded by six light grey leather seats, creating a refined and harmonious contrast.
Above the table, a matte black bar pendant lamp provides targeted lighting, enhancing the surface below and adding a touch of contemporary sophistication. The exposed brick wall gives an industrial character to the space, balanced by the polished terrazzo floor that adds texture and visual interest, matching the wood with its warmer fragments.
This area of the living space has also been adorned with collectible works of art, which integrate perfectly within this sophisticated rustic style.
The bathroom in the living area in Venetian terrazzo and porcelain stoneware
The bathroom in the living area consists of few furnishings but functional ones; in fact, in a small space we managed to include a small and practical corner shower, a freestanding square ceramic washbasin, and a wall-hung toilet.
The floor that continues from the living area is in Venetian terrazzo, while the walls are clad with large slabs in glossy marble-effect porcelain stoneware with rich brown and beige patterns that we specifically recommended to recall the warmer tones of the flooring.
The round mirror installed on the decorated wall reflects the depth of the room, enhancing its elegance and completing the washbasin area together with a wall-mounted steel tap that almost blends into the strong texture of the slab.
This bathroom combines design materials, such as marble-effect slabs and the freestanding washbasin, with practical elements like the shower and stainless steel, creating an interesting mix of modern and traditional styles and making the guest bathroom a functional space also for everyday use by those who live there.
The floors of the home: Venetian terrazzo and elm wood
The elm wood flooring chosen to bring warmth to the bedrooms pairs with the Venetian terrazzo for a total natural design.
The planks are laid in a staggered running pattern, a laying scheme that highlights the color variations and the unique grain of this wood essence; the quality of the craftsmanship of this prefinished Made in Italy wood is evident in the precision of the alignment of the planks, which creates a uniform and well-finished surface.
The wall clad in brick and the style of the furnishings pleasantly complement the charm of the elm wood flooring.
This type of flooring is appreciated not only for its durability, but also for its ability to add natural warmth and character to any interior space: perfect for environments that require a touch of elegance without giving up strength and practicality.
Night area bathroom in porcelain stoneware and wood
The bathroom in the night area expresses a modern and welcoming aesthetic, an environment in which the space is characterized by a harmonious combination of natural materials and contemporary finishes.
Elm wood enters from the corridor and pairs with marble-effect porcelain stoneware in large slabs with a diagonal cut crafted on site, a floor design that makes the transition between the two materials dynamic.
Both finishes chosen for the floor continue up the walls, cladding the two side walls: the wood covers the lower area of the suspended cabinet, while the marble effect with grey-taupe veining rises up to the ceiling to protect the shower and sanitary fixtures.
The room is well lit by recessed spotlights in the ceiling and by an LED strip that follows the outline of the ceiling beams.
Also in this room, the ceiling features exposed wooden beams, which create a pleasant contrast with the cool tones of the marble and recall the elm wood, adding warmth to the environment. Overall, this bathroom design manages to combine functionality and high-level craftsmanship.

Who are we?
We are a small family business made up of a team of interior designers and site technicians who collaborate with designers, craftsmen, installers and companies. We strive to give our best in every home, documenting the work and the results. We almost always work to measure and offer only high-quality products, always and only choosing Made in Italy. However, we try to avoid surprises: our services of consultancy, assistance in selection, project and renderings of the spaces, site inspections, assistance during the construction phase and after-sales support are included in the price of the quote.
Our strengths and weaknesses
Entrusting us with your home means creating an important relationship, we know. You will surely have many doubts, all legitimate. For this reason, before choosing us as your partner, you should also know our weaknesses. We have collected them on a page (together with some strengths). Some clients, dissatisfied, have given us strict reviews, while others have been more than generous. Reading our weaknesses, clearly stated, will warn you, for example, not to expect a “quick quote”, as we are, unfortunately, slow.
