Mosaico Bisazza was founded in Vicenza
The company was founded in Alte di Montecchio in 19856 by Renato Bisazza.
In those years mosaic was considered a piece of art and only rich people could afforded it. But Mrs Bisazza began to employ the mosaic as a tool to be used in construction.
It was founded as a small company in Vicenza, but today it is set in 2800 points of sale all over the world and there are 7 flagship stores in the major city such as: Milan and New York.
Today the headquarters of Vicenza has expanded and hosts a temporary exhibition with the requests of the most particular designs commissioned for events and fairs and a permanent collection of structures covered in Bisazza mosaic.
Mosaico Bisazza, mosaics
The type of mosaic produced is made exclusively of glass because it is material that can be employed in in different circumstances and that allows you to have many gradations of colours that in nature (stone, marble) would not be found.
There are 250 shades of colour in Bisazza’s catalogue.
The glass mosaic is the one that is the most employed and sold because of its resistance to frost, chemical attacks and subjected to any light does not discolour. It is so suitable for outdoor, indoor, swimming pool coverings and facades.
Obviously there are other type:
sintered mosaic
gold leaf mosaic
Sintered mosaic has a greater thickness than other types, due to this it is resistant to trampling and durable over time. So it is suitable also for public areas flooring without any fear.
Gold mosaic is the most valuable and expensive because of its refined workmanship and it is chosen by those who want to embellish their rooms.

These tiles are manufactured by hand and that’s why shape, size and thickness are irregular and need special attention when laying. It is available with a smooth or wavy surface, in yellow and white.

The collection is inspired by peach flowers, tulips, roses and the shades develop on a geometric background, sometimes almost a wall, in other a damask pattern. Some decorations instead use the flowers as in a very stylized way so as to create a real pattern that adapts and repeats to give continuity to the space.
The decoration that we usually see on fabrics and furnishing complements. So the green light to the lines, more or less in contrast, to decorations that give three-dimensional effects. In this collection then Bisazza wanted to insert elements and designs strongly classic, dedicated to Greek/ Roman and Chinese art.
The collection recalls luxury and elegance. In fact, the insertion of golden tiles is used in a measured way, with games of ribbons that descend, or points almost like lights that stand out on the neutral backgrounds of black or white.
Collection dedicated to swimming pools, or rather to the bottom of them. Large roses, dolphins or gems that under the movement of the water bring out the colour of the tiles.
Decorations made with tiles from the OPUS ROMANO collection, give character especially in public environments where the sintered mosaic has high technical capabilities. The decorations differ between geometric designs and patterns inspired by the animalier world.
