Apartment renovation in the center of Verona

The exciting challenge in the search for a floor suitable to cover the 60 sqm of the apartment led us to evaluate different materials, until the client fell in love with a wooden flooring that gave her the possibility to walk through the various rooms, giving continuity and coherence but also warmth and naturalness.

The parquet proposal that Francesca liked is a different essence from the classic oak, which we thought of because it is a wood with character that best reflects her; we are talking about an American elm floor, a particular natural finish with a delicate and soft color.

To add movement and accompany the wooden flooring we chose, together with architect Giuriato, a glazed gres decoration with different nuances that allowed us to assign a tone to each of the three rooms of the house: red in the living room, black in the kitchen and purple in the bathroom.

We let ourselves be pampered by the living room, a warm and welcoming environment in which we thought of inserting in the project an interruption of the parquet, creating a real gres rug in warm and earthy tones that spreads a feeling of comfort and invites family members and guests to sit on the small sofa, a furnishing wisely chosen in the same natural nuances.
It is a particular gres insert that we proposed after the client confided to us that she is fond of rugs, but did not want to use them on top of the parquet because it would have given her the feeling of hiding its beauty.

I shift your attention to a small gem: the same glazed tiles have been set into the dining table, a work carried out by our installers directly on site, which gives cohesion and visual harmony, demonstrating a precise attention to detail and giving character to the space.
This is an extra work, which does not belong to our main services, but which we decided to provide considering our good collaboration with the architect who asked us to realize this idea of his. In fact, usually, our tables do have tops in gres but they are large slabs in porcelain gres that in the workshop we work on and fit perfectly into our industrial metal bases, I leave you here the link to better understand what kind of furnishings these are: Gres tables

In the kitchen we have entered with a gres flooring in order to satisfy the practical needs of Francesca, even if we would like to specify that for us practicality does not exclude attention to aesthetics.
The black and grey gres has been alternated with inserts of lively colors such as yellow and orange that give life to a wow visual effect, very particular and certainly unique of its kind.

This flooring gives the kitchen a playful atmosphere creating on one side an effect of continuity with the furniture chosen by the client, and on the other a lively and colorful contrast. Also the small format, now unusual because it is less requested and therefore less produced, contributes to making the surfaces dynamic and unique.

Proceeding towards the small but essential bathroom, we leave behind us the wooden flooring and we notice the same tile format used in the kitchen and in the living area, but in this case the predominant color is eggplant purple; the gres completely covers two of the walls of the niche shower, composes the floor and rises vertically by 20 cm to run along the entire perimeter, as if it wanted to frame this room.

As for the coverings that wrap the surfaces, we opted for a light gres with a resin effect, a neutral texture that seems to enlarge the space giving the bathroom an airy and bright appearance.

The furnishing includes a floor-standing unit in matte anthracite grey lacquer with two large drawers and an integrated corian washbasin, a material that allowed us to recall the same RAL of the lacquer almost as if to create a single piece, and black finish taps that accessorize both the washbasin and the shower.

No space is left to chance in this renovation and to conclude the tour we go outside, onto the terrace that connects the house to a convenient private storage room.
A small corner that overlooks the surrounding historic buildings, where we took care of the flooring by looking for a modern material that would match the stylistic choices made for the interior of the apartment.

The client opted for a corten-effect gres, which we recommended in the large 120x120 format to have as few joints as possible and make the surface appear as a single one, and which ties perfectly with the colors of the interiors: as you may have understood, the common goal was to create visual harmony and we extended this concept also to the exterior, to make it integrate as if it were a single environment.
